Overview

OilVested started as a custom investor management app we built for our client WTX Crude — an oil investment firm that was drowning in spreadsheets and manual distribution emails. What worked for WTX Crude turned out to be a pattern every independent oil & gas operator was living: scattered tools, calculation errors, lost documents, and 40-60 hours a month of manual admin per firm. We turned that custom build into OilVested, a comprehensive investor management platform Spiderbug AI now offers to oil & gas investment companies. The platform replaces scattered spreadsheets and manual processes with a centralized system for managing projects, investors, payouts, and documents. It features an admin command center with real-time dashboards, an automated payout engine that calculates investor splits from gross revenue, investor self-service portals, a document vault for K-1s and tax forms, and investment opportunity management. OilVested is used by firms managing $22M+ in revenue across multiple projects and hundreds of investors.
